Universal Studios Japan allows smoking only in designated smoking spaces. The rule includes heated tobacco and electronic cigarettes. The current Japanese guidance directs visitors to the official app for locations.

Choose the right location

Before you walk there
Locate a designated space within the park before leaving your current area. Do not exit simply because an old map shows a smoking area outside the entrance: the English operator notice says that outside area became unavailable during entrance renovation from February 28, 2024. Confirm the current arrangement with crew and follow the app rather than an old downloadable map.
