Narita provides smoking rooms in its terminals and asks visitors to use designated areas, including outside the buildings. Use the airport map for your actual terminal rather than a general map pin labelled Narita Airport.
Official information checked: September 23, 2026. Temporary closures and event rules may change.
Choose the right location
| Area | Location / access | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Before security | Choose your terminal on the airport map | Look for the smoking-area symbol in the public zone |
| After security | Stay in the departure zone for your flight | Check the symbol on your current floor |
| International connection | Confirm your permitted transfer route | Ask staff before crossing immigration or security |
Before you walk there
The airport directory links directly to its location map. Match terminal, floor and gate area before moving. Our Japanese Terminal 1 station archive is a surrounding-area listing, not a complete inventory of every airport room. Terminal 1, 2 and 3 locations should not be treated as interchangeable, and this guide does not claim that a room is open right now.
